Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information StorePilot handles, why we use it, and the choices available to customers and users.

StorePilot is a product of Softedge Technologies Ltd. In this document, “StorePilot,” “Softedge,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Softedge Technologies Ltd.

Information we collect

We collect information that you or your organization provides when creating an account, requesting a demo, purchasing hardware, contacting support, or using StorePilot.

  • Account and contact information, such as names, business names, phone numbers, email addresses, branch details, and user roles.
  • Business records entered into StorePilot, including product, inventory, sales, purchase, customer, supplier, employee, account, and reporting data.
  • Technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, login activity, feature usage, diagnostics, and error logs.
  • Commercial information related to your selected plan, invoices, payment status, installation, hardware, and support history.

How we use information

We use information only where reasonably necessary to provide, operate, secure, support, and improve StorePilot or to comply with applicable legal obligations.

  • Create and administer accounts, branches, permissions, subscriptions, installations, and support requests.
  • Process transactions and display the reports, ledgers, stock records, and other features requested by authorized users.
  • Maintain service reliability, prevent misuse, investigate security incidents, and diagnose technical problems.
  • Send service notices, billing information, security alerts, product updates, and requested sales or demo communications.
  • Understand aggregate product usage and improve StorePilot features and customer experience.

Customer business data

Your organization controls the business data submitted to its StorePilot account. Softedge processes that data to provide StorePilot according to your organization’s instructions and account settings.

Your organization is responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and use personal information about its customers, suppliers, employees, and other individuals. Authorized account administrators control user access and should grant only the permissions each user needs.

When information may be shared

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate StorePilot, such as hosting, backup, communications, analytics, payment, and technical support providers. They may use information only to perform services for us under appropriate obligations.

We may also disclose information when required by law, valid legal process, or a competent authority; to protect users, Softedge, or the public; or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Cookies and similar technologies

StorePilot may use essential cookies or local storage to keep users signed in, preserve preferences, protect sessions, and operate core features. Where optional analytics or similar technologies are introduced, we will provide any notice or choice required by applicable law.

Data retention

We retain information while an account is active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for backups, support, security, dispute resolution, accounting, or legal compliance. Retention periods vary according to the type of information and why it is held.

Following a valid deletion request or account closure, information is deleted or anonymized within a commercially reasonable period, except where retention is legally required or data remains temporarily in protected backup systems.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. These measures may include access controls, authentication, logging, backups, and encryption where appropriate.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Customers must protect passwords, keep devices secure, review user permissions, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law and your relationship with StorePilot, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or object to certain processing. Account users should first contact their organization’s administrator for requests involving business data controlled by that organization.

You may opt out of non-essential marketing messages at any time. We may still send important account, billing, security, and service communications.

Data location and international processing

StorePilot’s infrastructure or service providers may process information in Bangladesh or other countries where they operate. Where information is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate contractual, security, and legal safeguards.

Children’s privacy

StorePilot is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children for account registration or marketing. Organizations using StorePilot remain responsible for data they enter into the service.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as StorePilot, our practices, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy on this page, update the date above, and provide additional notice when a change is material and such notice is reasonably required.
